What licenses do I need for an alligator hunt in Texas?
You only need a valid Texas hunting license—Fin & Fowl Outfitters provides the alligator harvest tag for you. Just show up licensed and ready to hunt.
When does Texas waterfowl season run?
The season kicks off on the first full weekend in November and runs through the end of January—prime time to chase ducks and geese on the Coastal Prairie.
What gear and transport do you provide?
Bring your own shotgun, shells, waders, and hunting license. We supply premium decoys, pre-scouted blinds, and we even handle transportation to and from the blind—no muck-wading required.
How many birds or hogs can I expect to harvest on a typical hunt?
Bag limits vary by species and season, but most two-day waterfowl hunts fill the daily limit (usually six ducks per day). Hog hunts average 1–3 hogs per hunter per day, depending on group size and terrain.
Is alligator hunting with Fin & Fowl Outfitters suitable for first-time hunters?
Absolutely. Our team gives you a full safety briefing, one-on-one guidance, and all the gear you need—even if it’s your very first big-game hunt.
What lodging do you offer?
Our 5,200 sq ft lodge sits right on Trinity Bay, staffed full-time, with private rooms and bathrooms, a lighted fishing pier, and all amenities on site. Just bring your gear and toiletries—everything else is ready to go.
Can I bring my own retriever dog on a waterfowl hunt?
We welcome well-trained, vaccinated retrievers—but we don’t supply additional handlers. If you bring your dog, let us know ahead of time so we can plan blind placement accordingly.
What’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Reschedule up to 14 days before your hunt for free. Cancellations within 14 days incur a 50% fee; within 7 days, the full hunt rate applies. We understand weather happens, so we’ll work with you.
Do you offer multi-day packages or combined hunts?
Yes! Combine waterfowl, hog, alligator, and inshore fishing into a custom, multi-day adventure. Tell us what you’re dreaming up, and we’ll put it together.
